  • Data Visualization Lead: Led an eight-week internship cohort building an application that used public environmental APIs to analyze weather trends. Taught Python, R, SQL, and Matplotlib while guiding data-pipeline and visualization decisions.
  • Computer Science Education & Mentorship
    • Developed a project-based curriculum for Spanish-speaking elementary and middle school students through GREEN-MPNA, expanding access in underserved schools.
    • Created Java lessons covering variables, control flow, loops, data structures, and algorithms; translated materials into Spanish and mentored students on careers across computing.
  • Environmental Justice Research: Investigated environmental hazards and inequality surrounding Aldergrove Charter School in Eureka, California.

Contributing to the design and development of Science Inquiry Studio, an AI-powered learning platform that supports science learning through guided inquiry.

  • Participating in the NSF-funded Computing and AI for All initiative, a $6M+ effort within Professor Mark Warschauer’s research group.
  • Collaborating with teachers to shape the platform around classroom needs and effective science instruction.
  • Building grade 6–8 science curricula that combine subject-matter learning with AI literacy, align with California’s Science Standards, and are being piloted across Orange County school districts.
  • Testing the platform with students and using their feedback to improve the learning experience.
  • Designed the complete user interface for both the student and teacher platforms.
